Country Woman

Back to the basics, is my heart's desire
Country woman, I long to be.
Back to the basics, will I ever get there.
Country woman, my mind can see.
Concrete all around me,
The stars are hard to see.
Poles and wires, they blur my sight.
Busy highways day and night.
Thru my window, I see my neighbor's face.
No room to breath in all this space.
Tempers high, road rage is on.
Time, stress, worry; its the new war zone.
When and where will it ever stop!
I long to be where the rabbits hop.
Birds and bees, butterflies and trees,
Country woman, I long to be . . . .
